Chapter 221
Chapter 221
I didn’t know what was going on. Eris put her hands together and covered her eyes. According to her, Ridrian going berserk does have something to do with moons overlapping. Even the demons’ scheme.
‘We’re safe without Rian. Is it perhaps that Rian didn’t go berserk because of Eris’s death, but the demons killed Eris to make Rian go berserk? Why?’
There was a knock on the door. The children I saw earlier stuck their heads in.
“Are you hungry?”
“Is your stomach growling?”
After knowing those cute children are demons, I felt a bit on guard. But as I smelled food, my stomach started growling.
‘Thinking about it, I haven’t eaten anything in a few days.’
My stomach was becoming completely thunderous. The two children heard that sound and ran into the room. Their small hands were holding food.
“Eat! It’s good.”
“Lunch. It’s stir fried Yukari.”
The children put the platter on the table and started running around. All food looked good.
“… Thank you.”
It was Recaldo who kidnapped us, so I politely thanked the children. The children looked at me suddenly and looked surprised.
“Thank you? She said thank you.”
“We got her thanks.”
The children laughed and scurried out of the room. The blue-haired kid stuck his head out before leaving.
“We thank you, human.”
“What?”
My head tilted slightly as I didn’t understand him. But the children were already gone.
“What are they thankful about?”
My stomach growled again. Eris laughed quietly as she seemed to have heard it. She sat at the table and waved at me.
“Let’s eat. We need to live whether we want to escape or fight.”
“Do you think it’ll be ok?”
I was quite hungry, but I was also hesitant. But Eris casually took a bite and offered some to me.
“They might have put some paralyzing drug, but they won’t kill us. There is no point without His Majesty.”
“… Really?”
I hesitated for a moment then picked up a fork. As I ate stir-fried vegetable, it filled my mouth with delicious taste. I wasn’t happy with Recaldo’s prophecy coming true, but it was so good that I couldn’t believe this was demons’ food.
‘I’m just paranoid that I think this is last supper right?’
I was trying other dishes, but then I realized that Eris was barely eating.
“Eris?”
She looked like she was pondering. Then I realized that her face was quite bad. Her skin was dry and she had black circles.
As she seemed to have noticed my staring, as Eris put down her fork and looked up.
“… Iona, I have something to confess.”

Ridrian immediately called the two into the office.
Adman said he had to check the estate as there had to be many demons that were supposed to be in Vanom but it was so quiet.
“Welcome.”
Raven and Ivan sat in the room together. The two who were called looked pretty bad. Their face was also grim like they were about to die.
But the Emperor didn’t care about that. Ridrian looked dead into their eyes =.
“Report everything you know.”
Dylan looked invasive as he saw Ridrian’s deadly aura.
It was Ravis who started. He could no longer hide it to Ridrian. No, he thought it all came to this because he hid it. Even if Iona tried to stop him, he should’ve let Ridrian know about the demons.
As he remembered Iona being kidnapped by Piett, he clenched his teeth.
“The epidemic that’s going around in the continent isn’t an epidemic. It’s demonizing.”
“Are you saying demons are involved?”
Ridrian was calm for some reason. But his voice was full of anger. Ravis nodded.
Two of them took turns explaining. It took a while as they didn’t leave any details, but Ridrian listened to it all. After he heard that Iona was kidnapped by demons, he got up immediately. His face was as cold as ever.
“Raven, return the entire army to the capital. Prepare it now. Ivan will be taking care of the business here.”
“As you wish.”
Ridrian’s cold gazed headed to Dylan.
“Sir Fortis. Call the Pope now.”
“Your Majesty.”
“I’ll cut your head if you’re saying you can’t. Give me the sphere.”
“…”
Ridrian was about to explode. But he was trying to listen to what Iona said before and was trying his best to push it down. He looked directly at Dylan.
Dylan didn’t say a word then gave him the sphere. The Pope popped up.
“Your Holiness.”
[Hm, isn’t it Dylan? Ravis as well. Yes, what’s the problem?]
The Pope looked as busy he could be. He kept checking documents and signing papers as he was talking.
“We have something urgent to tell you.”
Two of them told the Pope what they told the Emperor. When Dylan told the Pope the saintess and Eris were kidnapped, he looked like he was in despair.
‘It’s the second time. How am I the first sword of the group? I lost the most important person twice!’
Dylan couldn’t hold his anger and destroyed a part of the table.
Ridrian just grabbed the sphere. He put his face against it and asked him.
“Pope, where’s Iona?”
